Collections on Your Report? Let's Challenge Them.
One collection account can drop your score and get you denied for a home, a car, or an apartment. We review every collection on all three bureaus and dispute anything inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable.
Why Collections Hurt So Much
When a debt goes unpaid, the original creditor often sells it or hands it to a collection agency. That agency reports a new collection account, so one old bill can show up twice: once as a charge-off and again as a collection.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, most collections can be reported for up to seven years from the date you first fell behind. Selling the debt does not restart that clock. Lenders see an open collection as a red flag, and many mortgage programs require them to be resolved before closing.
Errors We Find All the Time
Collection accounts are some of the most error-prone items on a credit report. Here is what we look for:
- Balances that are wrong or keep growing
- The same debt reported by more than one collector
- Missing or incorrect date of first delinquency
- Debts older than the seven-year reporting limit
- Paid collections still showing a balance
- Accounts that are not yours
How We Handle It
You do not have to fight collectors and three bureaus on your own. Here is our process:
Full 3-Bureau Review
We pull your Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion reports and flag every collection, balance, and date that does not add up.
Targeted Disputes
We dispute inaccurate and unverifiable items with the bureaus and challenge the collectors directly, using your rights under the FCRA and FDCPA.
Track and Follow Up
Bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate. We track every response, push back on weak verifications, and keep you updated.
Collections Removal: Common Questions
Can a paid collection be removed?
If a paid collection is reported inaccurately, it can be disputed like any other item. If it is accurate, removal is not guaranteed. Newer scoring models such as FICO 9 and VantageScore 3.0 and 4.0 ignore paid collections, but many lenders still use older models.
Should I pay a collection before disputing it?
Not always. Paying does not remove the account, and it does not restart the seven-year clock either. We review your situation first so you know whether to dispute, pay, or both.
How long does it take?
Each round of disputes usually takes about 30 days per bureau. Our FASTRAK program delivers results in as little as 7 to 21 days. Our Monthly Plan typically runs 3 to 9 months.
What does it cost?
Our Monthly Plan is $250 to start, then $150 per month. FASTRAK is $899 one-time. We never charge per deletion.
